Dateline: Tanjung Rambutan. Sunday, 15th November 2009.

Over 600 runners and race helpers gathered in this scenic and beautiful resort to participate in KRI's annual run. The event, an 11-km trail run has again breathed some life into this other wise quiet resort. Overnight rain did not dampen the spirit of the runners, though it contributed adversely to he condition of the trail. The rain-soaked terrain became more challenging and even treacherous at the slopes. All but one returned none the worst. An ambulance was at hand to ferry the injured one to the district hospital nearby.

The "Go Green" Trail
The trail cover a distance of 11 kilometers winding uphill and downhill, traversing oil palm plantations and secondary jungle and reaching peaks of over 200 meters above sea level. En route to completing the trail, the runners enjoyed fresh air and take in towering views the Korbu Range and side expanse of the country side.

U-mobile came big, giving out their company products, water bottles, fans and sim cards for handphones. Recipients could obtain immediate access using the 018 numbers. Yee Lee Industries, our long-time partners in running events provided participants with isotonic drinks, mineral water and also hampers for lucky draws. Brooks were there to promote the line of sporting apparels. Yoyo Holiday, Zuellig Pharma, Yee Hup, Socma, Barkath Stores also contributed generously to make this event a success.
