KRI’s 2009 year-end event is now a trail run.
The Date: Sunday 15th November 2009
Take Off Time: 7.30 am sharp
The Venue: Bukit Kinding Resort, Tanjong Rambutan, Perak.
The Gauntlet: For the past decade or more, KRI’s annual run has been an on-road race in suburban Ipoh. Because of the voluminous traffic and the danger it poses to the roadrunners, we had to scout for alternative sites to conduct our races. We also supported the “green earth” theme and our first off-road run was in 2006. It was a cross-country run held in the vicinity of Sunway City, Tambun, Ipoh. In 2007, we reverted to our old haunt, the Polo Ground, to run our annual 10K. Taman Botany was our choice for the 2008 run. We adopted the same “green earth” theme one more time in the garden environment of Taman Botany. This year we have settled for a less mundane sort of run. This event promises to be a tough and thrilling trail run from start to finish. On steep and rugged terrain more challenging than the Sunway Cross-country run, it will surely give you a run for your money.

The Challenge: One hundred and sixty kilometers of grueling but fun-filled ride in the most scenic and unforgiving terrain Perak has to offer. But remember this time we’re taking off from Tanjong Rambutan. Mmm… sounds familiar. Think you’re crazy enough to take up this challenge? Then come and join us.
